Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 4, 2026

This policy explains what information Genuinetopics ("we," "us") collects through genuinetopics.com, how we use it, and how we use the LinkedIn API to share our own content.

Information we collect

We collect information only when you choose to give it to us, or automatically in a limited, non-identifying form:

  • Contact form. If you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, subject, and message so we can respond to you.
  • Email opt-out list. If you use our opt-out page, we store your email address to make sure we don't email you again.
  • Basic traffic analytics. When you visit a page, we may log the page you visited, the referring site or search engine, and any campaign parameters in the link (for example utm_source). We do not log your IP address, and we don't use tracking cookies to build this data — it's used only to understand which channels bring readers to our articles.
  • Optional session analytics. We may use Microsoft Clarity, a third-party analytics tool, to understand how visitors use the site (for example, anonymized click and scroll behavior). Clarity may set its own cookies when enabled; see Microsoft's privacy statement for details.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers described in this policy, who process it on our behalf.

How we use the LinkedIn API

Genuinetopics uses the LinkedIn API for one purpose only: to publish our own blog content — post titles, links, and images — to our own LinkedIn profile and/or company page. This is a one-way sharing action, initiated manually by our site administrator from our internal admin panel.

We do not use the LinkedIn API to collect, read, store, or share any personal data belonging to you or any other LinkedIn member, and we do not use LinkedIn data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than posting our own content to our own account. We only request the minimum LinkedIn permissions needed to publish a post.

Other social platforms

We may use similar publishing tools for Reddit and X (Twitter), again only to share our own content to our own accounts. As with LinkedIn, we do not collect or store personal data from these platforms.

Third-party services we use

  • OpenAI — helps us draft and edit blog content and generate images from prompts written by our team. We do not send visitor personal data to OpenAI.
  • LinkedIn, Reddit, and X — used only to publish our own content, as described above.
  • Microsoft Clarity (optional) — anonymized on-site behavior analytics, only if enabled.

Cookies

Our admin login uses a single, essential session cookie so our team can sign in to manage the site — this cookie is not set for regular visitors and isn't used for tracking. If Microsoft Clarity is enabled, it may set its own analytics cookies as described above.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or opt out of future emails at any time by using our opt-out page or emailing us at genuinetopicsdotcom@gmail.com.

Children's privacy

Genuinetopics is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when we publish them on this page, and we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
