WHO WE ARE
About us
Genuinetopics is an independent publication about technology, artificial intelligence, and open source. We write genuine blogs — clear, practical, and reviewed before they publish — for readers who want to understand how the tools shaping our work actually behave, not just how they are marketed.
What we write about
Our coverage stays close to three areas we know well and care about:
- Technology. The platforms, services, and shifts that change how people build and work day to day.
- AI. What the models and agents can genuinely do today, where they fall short, and how to put them to work sensibly.
- Open source. The projects, communities, and licences behind the software the rest of the industry quietly runs on.
Our purpose
Our purpose is to spread knowledge with people all around the world. Good technical writing should not sit behind a paywall or assume you already know the jargon, and it should not depend on where you live or what you can afford. So we publish openly, explain our reasoning, and write for a global audience — whether you are a developer, a founder, a student, or simply curious.
We would rather be useful than loud. That means writing about what genuinely holds up in practice, saying plainly when something does not, and leaving out the hype in between.
Tools and software we recommend
We also suggest new tools and software as they arrive in the market. New products launch constantly, and most of them are hard to evaluate from a landing page alone — so we look at what a tool actually does, who it suits, and whether it is worth your time before we recommend it.
Some of these recommendations are published as product pages, and where a link earns us a commission we disclose it clearly on the page itself. A commission never buys a recommendation: if we would not suggest a tool to a colleague, we do not suggest it here.
How we work
Every article is reviewed before it goes live. When a post is adapted from another source or from a document, we say so on the post and link to the original. When we get something wrong, we correct it rather than quietly remove it.
